[00:00:00] It is Friday, February 2nd.

[00:00:03] Today, what this year holds for the meta ad platform, the web browser that could hurt

[00:00:09] Google's ad revenues, a warning about your brand's TikTok videos, and why Mastodon

[00:00:15] might be the sleeper hit for social engagement.

[00:00:20] I'm Todd Maffin.

[00:00:21] That's ahead today, digital marketing.

[00:00:24] A big day for meta today which reported some great financials well above analyst expectations which is a 29% year-over-year growth, which is pretty unbelievable. Yeah, no kidding. So what contributed to this, they talked about why, and a lot of it comes down to a number of different factors. So I think a lot of it was there continues to be a lot of spend that's coming from,

[00:01:43] well, it's taking Google dollars, it would mean a pretty big bump in

[00:03:04] revenue. And they've done that. And I think a listing on Amazon, it's like the Walmart versus Target. There's something inherently cooler about Target in the United States, it has a better

[00:04:20] brand and I think that's kind the way that it works is only going to continue to get better and bigger. I think so. Andrew, thank you. Good stuff. See you next week. Thank you. Andrew Foxwell is our meta ads correspondent. You can learn more about Andrew's digital ads training at B.Link.slash.Foxwell or his Slack community of senior meta ad buyers at

[00:05:44] B.Link.slash.founders. Both to attach up to three headlines and two descriptions to campaigns at the campaign level. This is especially handy for advertisers looking page, instead opening links and multiple tabs related to the user's query right away. This move not only speeds up the search process, but also sidesteps the advertising revenue that typically comes with search queries.

[00:08:21] Another feature uses AI to scan the internet

[00:08:23] and offers suggestions tailored to the user's interests,

[00:08:26] like new dining spots or recipes, all I want to do is chill. If you're in the same boat, you may want to look into factor. Factor is ready to eat meal delivery, takes the stress out of meal planning, and sets you up for success in the new year. Skip the grocery stores, prep work, and cooking fatigue. Instead, get chef crafted, dietitian approved meals delivered right to your door.

[00:09:40] With more than 35 meals to choose from per week, including our ads agency people, and saved us a ton of time. And it's new AI tool which summarizes and clusters information automatically was a game changer. Find simplicity in your most complex projects with Miro worth going through the videos on your channel and perhaps setting any muted videos back to draft status. I don't usually talk about my own home life in this news section of the show, though God

[00:12:22] knows I've made you suffer through me ranting about video games in the show Xtrow, but today

[00:12:26] I wanted to share some data based I have about 10,000 followers. The worst performing post, as you can probably imagine, even though I have about 10,000 followers there, by far, X was the worst performing there. It got no retweets, no likes.

[00:13:41] It only got one comment because it came from a friend of ours.

[00:13:44] Now, to be fair, I basically stopped that any day. And finally, Google is waving goodbye to an old friend, the cache link, in its search results. When you clicked it, you got a view of what Google's systems saw when it crawled

[00:15:01] that web page. It was designed to help whole thing was that this rep seemed to think that we wanted like a limo or something like that and we just wanted a vehicle that wasn't a bus with three stairs we just wanted an accessible vehicle of some kind of car even. Anyway, problem solved was because WestJet's a

[00:16:23] good corporate citizen. Perhaps might also be telling that this call came maybe No, no, no, no more blue days got me down Don't believe in it, hold on Too much money, no over Gonna jump without booking And before you know it, yes, it's sad I'm gonna get up A new year, time for new growth
